Mark was born in Brownsville and, with his family following his Methodist Minister father to his various assignments, spent the early years of his life in Los Fresnos, the gateway to South Padre Island. The family soon moved to Boerne, a small town in the Texas Hill Country, where he spent the next 10 years of his life before moving to San Antonio, where his father is now serving the Alamo Heights United Methodist Church. Mark graduated from Alamo Heights High School.

While earning his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree (cum laude) and Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Mark was an avid outdoorsman as a member of the student-run Outdoor Pursuits Center and participated in various trips across Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arkansas, and Missouri. He hopes to continue his love for the outdoors in the unique locale of the Rio Grande Valley.

Mark has always wanted to live and make a home in South Texas, away from the pressures and time constraints of the big city. Mark feels that McAllen offers the perfect setting to build client and personal relationships and eventually raise a family.

Mark believes that practicing law is both a privilege and a challenge and that all clients should be listened to and treated with the utmost respect. Mark relishes the opportunity to help clients solve their legal problems, and believes that each day provides a new occasion to both teach and be taught.
